TOUR GUIDE BUS

The Auto Extras team converted a Volkswagen Crafter to accommodate 12 passengers and additional storage boxes for a North Queensland tour guide company.

The conversion included installing:

• heavy-duty plywood flooring for strength, enhanced with a timber-look vinyl covering
• grey carpet lined walls
• custom built console between the driver and passengers’ seats to securely hold paperwork
• PA system and speakers
• rear storage boxes for passengers’ baggage & water
• safety escape hammers and a fire extinguisher
• custom alloy side step and grab handle for easy access
• nudge bar for road safety.

CHILDCARE CENTRE BUS

This Volkswagen Crafter was fitted out with rear seating for a childcare centre. All seats were installed with child anchorage points for booster seats and upholstered in a fun, colourful fabric.

The conversion included installing:

• 10 custom seats upholstered in a bright, striped fabric to match the red van
• child anchor points for each seat
• yellow hand rail to assist children and carers getting into the van
• auxiliary air-conditioning unit providing air to the passenger area.

COMMUNITY TRANSPORT BUS

Our client requested a unique van-to-bus conversion, combining three wheelchair positions and two foldaway seats in their Volkswagen Crafter.

The conversion included installing:

• heavy-duty plywood floor lined with non-slip vinyl
• wheelchair loader and three wheelchair positions
• two foldaway seats
• safety hand rails and side steps for easy access
• heavy-duty plastic wall guard to prevent damage from wheelchair entry and exit.

AIRPORT TRANSFER BUS

The Auto Extras team fitted out a Fiat Ducato with rear seating for passenger transfers. The seats were upholstered to match the van’s existing fabric.

The conversion included:

• heavy-duty, non-slip vinyl flooring
• rear air-conditioning suitable to the tropical climate
• 10 custom upholstered seats with armrests
• side entry step and hand rail for easy access
• safety escape hammers and a fire extinguisher.
